The Women’s Performance Committee are pleased to announce the appointment of Ffion Thompson as the Women’s Strength and Conditioning Coach with immediate effect.
Ffion has a wealth of knowledge and experience that is going to help propel us on and off the pitch. Ffion is the Lead S+C and Sports Scientist at Queen’s Ethelburga’s School and also serves as the S+C Coach for Wasps Netball Team. In addition, she is currently earning her PhD at Leeds Beckett Carnegie School of Sport where she is researching “The Impacts of Sport Schools on Holistic Athlete Development”.
As an athlete Ffion played hockey at Loughborough University and went on to get her Master’s while playing hockey at Northeastern University in Boston. Notably, she competed for England U21 and GB Hockey Senior Development Squad.
