Wales Lacrosse has named Jacqui Hicks as this year's recipient of the Margaret Turner Trophy. Wales Lacrosse would like to congratulate Jacqui and thank her for her invaluable contribution to the organisation, in particular the men's programme, over the years.
'Jacqui has been the bedrock of Welsh Men's lacrosse for the past few years Taking over the role from Phil Walker was always going to be a challenge and Jacqui has excelled both in the difficult circumstances following Phil`s death and going all the way through to current COVID challenges. I cannot thank Jacqui enough for the work she does, making sure the National squad was able to excel on the pitch was in a large part down to the work Jacqui (and her husband Peter) carried out off the pitch. Alongside Mike Hill she was able to help the team achieve in Israel, secure the top spot in the first Men’s Home Internationals and get an U20 team to Prague. I receive emails and updates from Jacqui at all times of the day and far too late into the night. This is a great example of the level of work and commitment she puts into Wales Lacrosse and a more than deserving winner of the Margaret Turner award.'
