Wales remains in lock down. Welsh residents are only permitted to travel 5 miles from their homes and interact with one other household.
As of 22 June, the use of outdoor sport courts is permitted but no contact or team sports are allowed. Therefore no training in “bubbles” is permitted in Wales and NO national squad weekends can be held at this time.
Wales Lacrosse members, that are resident in England, are permitted to train in "bubbles" in accordance with England Lacrosse guidelines as set out on their website.
Our primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of our athletes, coaches and administrative staff. When we do return to training a number of restrictions are likely to remain in place as directed by Senedd Cymru (the Welsh Parliament).
Given the dynamic nature of the guidance, Wales Lacrosse is seeking an advisor to the Board on Covid-19 related matters. Please contact me if you are interested in the role.
In the meantime, stay local and keep Wales safe.
Simon Hughes, CEO Wales Lacrosse
