Wales Lacrosse is building on its World Championship success by appointing two dynamic coaches to key positions.
The Dragons finished 14th in the 46-nation tournament in Israel this summer with notable victories to confirm its progress at the elite level.
Defence coach Nick Hewitt moves up to Head Coach for the National squad and Rob Ingham Clark becomes the new Head Coach of Wales U19/U20 squad.
Nick has vast experience playing and coaching at NEMLA club and regional level and has been part of the Wales coaching staff for two years. He brings a vast knowledge to squad preparation and is committed to a dynamic style of play.
Rob, who plays in the SEMLA league, is current Head of lacrosse at Stowe School and was assistant coach for Luxembourg at their first World Championships in Israel.
He recently received the Stan Smith Award from the Centurions for his work developing the game at junior, university, club and national levels.
Dan Funnell, Chair of Men's Performance, said: “We have been making excellent progress over recent years and our performances in Israel were a credit to the players and everyone involved.
“We are always looking at ways of developing the squad and our game so the appointments of Nick and Rob are fantastic news for Wales Lacrosse. They are both highly committed to the cause and will bring an expertise and energy that will help us push on.
“I hope everyone will join me in welcoming them to their new roles.”
