Performance Director
A new position has been created of Performance Director to join the Executive group of Wales Lacrosse and oversee the progression of performance for all our representative teams.
Wales Lacrosse is a small National Governing Body, supporting the development of lacrosse at all levels within Wales and for those of Welsh heritage.

The athletes in our National Squads perform at the very top of their sport whilst managing challenging careers or studies. They finely balance the physical, mental and time pressures across their respective commitments, but always give everything to the team. We are seeking a Performance Director to lead further excellence in our National Squads.
Responsibilities include
Supporting and guiding the Head of women’s (HWP) and men’s performance (HMP) at senior and u20 level.
Working closely with the Development Director to increase participation and performance.
To create and monitor the long term vision and strategy for Wales Lacrosse National squads.
To continue the work on coaching “credaou” ensuring excellence in coaching delivery.
Expand the use of technology in combination with coaches to ensure the well being of our lacrosse players.
Uniting the resources used across the men’s and women’s programmes.
Seeking effective use of technology to enhance performance.
Seek to improve the world rankings of all National squads
Develop and implement systems and methodologies to evaluate the success of the national programmes
Lead the Performance Committee
Providing relevant support at training weekends, tours and tournaments, where required
Ensure and promote equality of opportunity, respecting diversity and recognising the needs of different groups and individuals
Ensure all relevant compliance is upto date and actioned.

Person Specification
Previous experience of working in a performance management role.
A proven track record of developing elite athlete programmes
Able to work effectively, using excellent communication and problems solving skills.
Strong planning and organisational skills, ability to prioritise and meet timescales.
Innovative approaches to addressing challenges
Ability to reflect upon work to create positive change
Previous lacrosse experience is not necessary.
Minimum 3-4 year high performance experience
IT literate.
